L’Wren Scott for Banana Republic: Loved by the likes of Nicole Kidman and Michelle Obama, model-turned-designer, L’Wren Scott, debuts her collaboration with Banana Republic on December 5. Look for her couture influences, such as satin piping and a bit of sparkle. We can’t wait for this glamorous collection!

Snow: Some of you may be skeptical–how could snow be a favorite of ours, you ask?! True, braving the elements can be arduous, but there is something special about that first big snow. For a moment the city stops. The sole paw prints left by the few brave critters sparkle. The white capped trees look photoshopped. Once the snow is removed from the streets and the hustle and bustle returns, snowmen decorate neighborhoods, and it feels as though the holidays are upon us. Find your inner child, go sledding, skating, or craft a snowman larger than yourself! If you live in a warm state, we still envy you!

Inside Llewyn Davis: Ethan and Joel Coen present the story of a singer-songwriter, Llewyn Davis, navigating the New York folk music scene in the 1960s. With a cast including Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, John Goodman, and Justin Timberlake, and music produced by T-Bone Burnett and Marcus Mumford, we have high expectations for this film’s potential. Limited release is December 6!

Human Rights Day: Twenty years ago, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights was established for the promotion and protection of human rights. Over 60 years ago The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was written. December 10 marks Human Rights Day. Visit the United Nations to learn about achievements and goals for the future.

Christmas: It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Make time for family and friends and be sure to bake Santa a delicious batch of cookies. No one wants to find coal in their stocking Christmas morning! For a bit of fun for the little ones, track Santa’s ride on NORAD through December!

New Year’s Eve: Whatever your traditions may be, we think this holiday is special. Certainly, parties abound, but more importantly, it serves as a reminder to reflect on the past year and look forward to what is to come. Go out and dance the night away or stay at home for a cozy evening with those close to you! We all are our own harshest critics, so it is nice to remember how far we have come. We all have something to celebrate! Cheers to the New Year!
